Principal
David Alterman is a Principal at Arkin Equity, having joined the team in 2020. He focuses on both hedge fund and private equity investments. As Co-Manager of the Idea Hedge Fund in Israel, David is responsible for shaping the fund’s investment strategy alongside Yaniv Cohen. He plays an integral role in investment decision-making, analyzing company potential and valuations in the Israeli stock market. David is also responsible for executing the fund’s investment decisions and managing risk assessments for the fund's portfolio.
In addition to his work with the Idea Hedge Fund, David is deeply involved in establishing and supporting companies within Arkin Foundry. He was instrumental in the creation of Reches Real Estate, a joint venture between Arkin and real estate entrepreneur Tomer Katz. David has been providing strategic and legal support to Reches's management since its inception.
David has also led direct private equity investments at Arkin, including managing the investment process for Top Gum prior to its public offering.
Before joining Arkin, David led the equities division at Yelin Lapidot Mutual Funds, where he was responsible for managing equity portfolios and overseeing investment strategies. He also served as a Senior Investment Manager in Yelin Lapidot's private and corporate portfolio department.
David holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration and an M.A. in Financial Economics, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he graduated with honors.
