Principal
Adar Makovski Silverstein has been a Principal at Arkin Bio Ventures since 2023. She is part of the ABV3 management team, an early-stage fund focused on Seed and Series A opportunities. Adar leverages her extensive experience in the biotech industry and deep scientific expertise to identify new investment opportunities and provide strategic support to portfolio companies.
Before joining Arkin Bio, Adar was the Head of Corporate Development at Onconova Therapeutics, where she led company strategy, initiated partnerships with external parties, and supported R&D activities. Prior to that, she worked in Amgen Business Development as a Senior Licensing Associate, evaluating external scientific opportunities across all therapeutic areas and managing processes within business development and cross-functional teams. She also gained experience as a Research Program Management Team member at Regeneron and worked as a marketing analyst graduate student consultant at Roche Sequencing Solutions.
Adar holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Bar-Ilan University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the City of Hope in Duarte, California. She also holds a Postdoctoral Professional Master’s in Bioscience Management from the Keck Graduate Institute in Claremont, California.
