We believe that our Users have the right to be informed about our policy regarding the collection and use of information received and processed by us during the use of the Site. Capitalized terms which are not defined herein, shall have the meaning ascribed to them in our Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”), into which this Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference.

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) details how your Personal Information collected via the Site is used and processed by Arkin.

3. Which information we may collect on our Users?
When you are using the Site, we may collect and process one or more of the following types of data:
3.1. Non-personal Information.
Like most websites and online services, we automatically and passively collect anonymous, non-identifying information from your devices when you access and use the Site, including (i) technical information such as the type and version of your device and its operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, keyboard language, Wi-Fi connectivity, etc.; and (ii) behavioral information, which may include non-personal, anonymous, and technical information, as well as information collected about your behavior, which may include, among other things, records of your activity on the Site, click-stream data, and other similar types of information (collectively, “Technical and Behavioral Information“).
3.2. Personal Information (meaning information that allows us to personally identify you and is usually of a private or sensitive nature).
This information is collected by us as follows:
- Personal Information collected directly from you:
- Communications with Arkin: Personal Information is collected from the details the Users provide as part of any communications with us, by any means, including by contacting us via the Site, telephone or email or through our social network pages or otherwise.
- Contact Us Form: Personal Information is collected from the details the Users provide us while filing the “Contact Us” form available on our Site (including, without limitation, the User’s full name, phone number, email address, organization name, job title and any text you wish to insert into the “message” box). Additional information may be requested via such form in the future.
- Events: Personal Information is collected from the details the Users provide as part of registration to our events. Such Personal Information may include your full name, email address, job title, organization name and phone number. Additional information may be requested via the registration form in the future.
- Free Text: For the avoidance of doubt, any information you enter as free text in the various forms or in your correspondence with us will be transmitted to us “as is”. Therefore, you are requested to include only details that are essential for your inquiry.
- Information Collected on Landing Pages and Additional Interfaces: In addition, when you provide your details on landing pages or in any other digital form of Arkin (such as surveys, etc.), your contact information and any other information you provide will be collected and used by us in accordance with the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
- Our newsletter and other commercial materials: you may voluntarily provide us with your full name, email address, job title, organization name and phone number, in order to subscribe to our newsletter and to receive commercial materials from us and our partners. Additional information may be requested in the future.
- Personal Information collected via technology:
- Identifiers: when you use the Site, you automatically provide us with your IP address, MAC address, or other unique identifiers, as applicable, depending on the network or device you are using. This information is collected by us in order to improve your user experience, determine your geographic location, and for security and online advertising purposes. We may also collect additional identifiers, including advertising identifiers stored on the device you are using (for example, Google’s Advertiser Identification or Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers), for similar purposes.
- Geolocation data: When you use the Site, we may collect data about your geographic location, including through the analysis of IP addresses, GPS signals, and other similar information. Please note that we may also analyze your IP address and other similar data, using our third party service providers, in order to determine the name of the company whose IP address you have used to browse to our Site, for the purpose of locating prospects and in order to analyze our Site’s traffic.
- Technical and Behavioral Information: to the extent that the Technical and Behavioral Information (detailed above under Section 3.1) will be linked to or associated with a specific individual, then such information will be considered as Personal Information.
- Email: When we send you an email, we may collect, through tracking technologies, information regarding the delivery of the email and whether it has been opened by you.
- Statistics and Measurements: We may, either ourselves or through service providers such as Google Analytics, generate measurements, statistics, and detailed analyses regarding your behavior on the Site in general.
- Personal Information from other sources:
- We may also obtain information from other sources, which may include, but not limited to, publicly-available sources, information provided by third parties which helps us determine your location based on your IP address and data providers, such as Google Analytics, from which we may obtain demographic, interest based and online advertising related data.
Please note:
- We may cross-reference your Personal Information with other Personal Information we may have about you. Any Non-personal Information connected or linked to or associated with any Personal Information shall be deemed as Personal Information as long as such connection, linkage or association exists.
- Please note that we may collect the aforementioned information (Personal Information and Non-Personal Information) either ourselves or through our service providers, including through the use of technologies such as cookies and similar tracking technologies. For the avoidance of doubt, we may use such third-party tracking services and usage logs, to track and analyze data from Users of the Site and for purposes of security and fraud prevention. We may also use cookies to gather information regarding your use of the Site and the information for which you searched and accessed (for more information please see in Section 12 below and in our Cookie Policy).
- If you provide us with personal information relating to third parties, you hereby represent and warrant that you have obtained such third parties’ informed consent to provide such information to us for the purpose of processing it in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and that any responsibility in connection therewith shall rest solely with you. If such third parties are minors (under the age of 18), you hereby represent and confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the minor and that you are authorized to provide us with personal information about the minor in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- You represent that all personal information you provide us is true, accurate, complete, and up to date. Arkin shall not be liable for any damage resulting from the provision of incorrect or misleading information. Please note that providing incorrect details may impair our ability to contact you when necessary and may affect the quality of the service provided to you.
4. How Do We Collect Information about Our Users?
There are a few main methods that we use in order to collect information:
4.1. We collect information through your entry, connection, access and/or use of the Site. In other words, when you access or use the Site, we are aware of your usage of the Site, and may gather, collect and store the information relating to such usage. For example, when you use the Site, we gather your Technical and Behavioral Information.
4.2. We collect information which you provide us voluntarily. For example, we collect Personal Information that you provide via the “Contact Us” forms on the Site.
4.3. We collect information from third parties. Such information may include mailing lists and other information available from public sources.
We may gather, collect and store such information either independently or through the help of our authorized third-party service providers as detailed below.
5. What are the Purposes of the collection and processing of information?
5.1. Non-personal Information is collected and processed in order to:
- For research and statistical analysis purposes intended for our internal use, including, among other things, to enable us to make informed strategic decisions through a better understanding of our target audiences;
- Keep the Site safe and secured against fraudulent and criminal activity.

- Add your contact details to our mailing list for the purposes of sending you by email, SMS, WhatsApp messages, through web-browser notification or other online means, marketing materials, newsletters, information about us and updates, notices, announcements, and additional information related to our services and portfolio companies (including, proposals and tailored information regarding new portfolio companies, events, offers, services, special offers and opportunities). - To store and manage the information in our databases for the purposes detailed in this Privacy Policy;
- Register you to our events and contact you regarding the events;
- We may also use your Personal Information in delivering third party advertisements to you. This may include “targeted ads” based upon your interactions with our Site;
- Personalize your experience on the Site;
- To conduct research and statistical analysis intended for our internal use, we may convert information relating to you into anonymous data, so that you cannot be identified directly or indirectly;
- Email tracking. We may use tracking technology within the email we send you in order to improve interactions with you and to better understand whether our emails were opened and read, and such tracking may include capturing the time and date in which you opened our email messages and the type of device you use to open such emails.
- For our administrative purposes; and

6. Your Rights
Arkin acknowledges that applicable law may provide you with certain rights relating to your Personal Information, including the right to access, modify and/or delete the Personal Information we collect and process about you. If you wish to access or to correct, amend, or delete Personal Information, please send us an email to: [email protected], and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe, and will act in accordance with the privacy laws applicable to us. It should be clarified that deleting information may prevent you from continuing to receive certain services from us.
Please note: In any request to review, modify, and/or delete information, we ask that you include the following details: name, phone number, address, email address, and the specific information you wish to review, modify, or delete. If you wish to authorize another person to review the information on your behalf, please attach an explicit power of attorney for this purpose.
7. Sharing Information with Third Parties
7.1. Arkin respects your privacy and will not disclose, share, rent, or sell your Personal Information to any third party, other than as stipulated under this Privacy Policy.
7.2. Generally, Arkin does not share your Personal Information with third parties. However, we may do so in the following circumstances:
- Arkin Personnel: Personal Information that we collect and process may be transferred to, or accessed by, personnel of Arkin for the sole purpose of enabling the operation of the Site and to contact you (as detailed in Section 5 above). Please note that all Arkin personnel that will have access to your Personal Information are under an obligation of strict confidentiality with respect to such Personal Information.
- Service Providers: Please note that we collect, hold and/or manage Personal Information through our authorized third parties’ vendors, consultants and data processors who perform services on our behalf, including without limitation, companies that provide analysis services, messaging services, cloud hosting services and services concerning the hosting or organizing marketing and public events (including, as applicable, their affiliates). Such service providers may be located in a country that does not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction. - Competent authorities and law enforcement agencies: We may share your Personal Information with law enforcement authorities, security agencies, courts, regulators, any other competent authority, or other relevant entities, in order to comply with legal requirements, judicial proceedings, court orders, administrative orders, requests from governmental authorities, or official investigations;
- Enforcement of terms and policies: We may share Personal Information with our legal advisors, law enforcement authorities, or other relevant entities for the purpose of enforcing this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, including as part of an investigation into possible violations of the Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use.
- Fraud prevention and information security: We may share Personal Information with information security providers, law enforcement authorities, or technology consultants for the purpose of detecting, preventing, or addressing fraud, deception, security, safety, or technical issues.
- Claims and dispute resolution: We may share Personal Information with professional advisors (including attorneys), insurance companies, competent authorities, or other relevant third parties for the purpose of investigating, handling, or defending against claims, demands, or allegations.
- Protection of rights: We may share Personal Information with law enforcement authorities, legal advisors, or other relevant entities for the purpose of protecting our rights, property, or the personal safety of our partners, employees, or the public.
- Change of control, investment, or corporate transaction: In the event of a change of control, reorganization, merger, investment in Arkin, change in the composition of the partners, transfer of management rights, or transfer of all or a substantial portion of Arkin’s assets, Arkin may transfer your Personal Information to a potential investor, limited partner, or purchaser, provided that such party undertakes to maintain the same level of privacy protection as set forth in this Privacy Policy; and/or
- With your consent: We may share your personal information with other third parties based on your explicit request or consent.
7.3. For the avoidance of doubt, Arkin may use Non-personal Information and transfer and disclose it to third parties at its discretion, including without limitation for statistical, analytical and research purposes and for customization, developing and improvement of the Site.
8. Third Party Service Providers
Arkin engages third party service providers to support its operations. Your Personal Information may be transferred to such service providers solely for the purpose of providing services to Arkin. These service providers may be located in jurisdictions different from your own, and the data protection laws applicable in those jurisdictions may provide a lower level of protection than those in your jurisdiction. However, we will engage only with service providers that can offer adequate safeguards to ensure that your Personal Information is stored, processed, and protected appropriately, in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

- Event management and registration services (Eventbrite and Luma); and
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (such as, Affinity).
9. Security
We invest reasonable efforts in implementing and maintaining the security of your Personal Information (whether directly or through third-party service providers). We apply procedures, information security policies, and technological and organizational security measures as required by applicable law, in order to protect your personal information, prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, and to mitigate the risks associated with such activities. However, despite these efforts and measures, we cannot guarantee absolute protection, and there is always a risk that Personal Information may be exposed, leaked, stolen, damaged or otherwise compromised, or that unauthorized access to our information systems or databases may occur. ARKIN SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, HACKING, OR OTHER SECURITY INTRUSIONS OR FAILURE TO STORE OR THE THEFT, DELETION, CORRUPTION, DESTRUCTION, DAMAGE, OR LOSS OF ANY DATA OR INFORMATION. BY USING THE SITE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO THESE LIMITATIONS.
Arkin will comply with applicable law in the event of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your Personal Information and will inform you of such breach as required by applicable law.
10. Location of Your Data
The information collected about you by Arkin, including Personal Information as detailed in this Privacy Policy, may, in whole or in part, be transferred to, and further transferred, to Arkin’s suppliers and third-party service provides (as further detailed under Section 9 below), across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. Please note that we may transfer such information to such third party who is located in a country and jurisdiction that whose laws do not ensure the same level of protection as the level of protection under the privacy protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction, and you consent to such transfer of information. In general, we make efforts to ensure that your Personal Information is stored only in Israel, the European Union, or the United States. In any event, any transfer of data will be in accordance with the safeguards permitted under applicable privacy laws.
BY SUBMITTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ARKIN, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE, IN JURISDICTION WHERE SUCH CONSENT IS REQUIRED, TO SUCH TRANSFER, STORING AND/OR PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.
11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
When you access or use the Site, we and/or our third party service providers may use industry-wide technologies such as cookies, web beacons, pixels, clear gifs and other similar tools (or other similar technologies) (collectively, “Cookies”), that store certain information on the computer or device through which you access our Site. We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the links on our Site lead you to reliable websites that may include, for example, articles, videos, and other additional content selected by Arkin solely for the convenience of the Users. However, it should be clarified that Arkin is not responsible for your use of these links and is not affiliated with such websites or services and/or with the privacy policies of those websites or services. Most of such linked sites and services provide legal documents, including terms of use and privacy policy governing the use thereof (these constitute a privacy policy different from this one, regarding the use and disclosure of your personal information by those third-party websites) It is always advisable to read such documents carefully before using those sites and services, inter alia, in order to know what kind of information about you is being collected.
13. Social Features
Our Site may include social media features, such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn links (“Social Features”). The Social Features are operated or allow for social integration with certain third party social networks or third party Sites (“Social Networks“). These Social Networks are created and maintained by third parties who are not affiliated with and/or controlled by Arkin. If you enable this integration with such Social Networks, your use of the Social Features is subject to the applicable third party Social Network’s terms of use and privacy policies. You should ensure that you read their terms of use and privacy policies to understand how they treat your information and in order to understand the methods for changing the privacy or sharing settings on such services. If you do not agree to the practices described in such terms you should not allow the Site to interact with such Social Networks, however you may find that you are not able to enjoy all the features that may be made available via the Site. You understand that where you allow interaction with any third party Social Network, we may share data about you with your contacts (and vice versa) in order that you may enjoy social elements. This data may include, inter alia, your name and your social media profile picture. 14. Minors
The Site is intended for Users over the age of sixteen (16). Therefore, Arkin does not intend and does not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children under this age. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any stage so that we can verify that minors under this age are not using the Site.
15. Direct Marketing
You hereby agree that we may use the contact details you provided us with (including, without limitation, e-mail address) for the purpose of providing you with commercial and/or non-commercial materials related to our current and/or future activities and/or services.
If you have filled in your contact details and/or indicated on the Site that you agree to receive marketing messages and advertisements, it is hereby clarified that you have consented to receive marketing messages from Arkin, including advertisements pursuant to the Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasting) Law, 1982, including via email, messaging applications (including WhatsApp) and SMS, automatic dialing systems, or any other means of communication. Such messages will be sent to you using the contact details you voluntarily provided.
You may withdraw your consent by sending a written notice to our e-mail address at: [email protected] or alternatively follow the instructions for removing yourself from the mailing list which are available in the message transmitted to you. You hereby acknowledge that Arkin has informed you that you may refuse to receive such materials.
You may disable the option to receive push notifications from us by changing your browser settings or by adjusting the settings in the operating system of the device you use to access the Site.
16. Data Retention
Arkin will retain the Personal Information for as long as we are confident that it is accurate and can be relied upon. Personal Information which is no longer required for the purpose for which it was initially collected will be deleted unless we have a valid justification to retain it which is permitted under applicable law, such as to resolve disputes or comply with our legal obligations.
Anonymous or aggregated information derived from your use of the Site may be stored in our systems indefinitely, and we may use it without limitation.
