X-energy develops advanced small modular nuclear reactors and the fuel that powers them. Its Xe-100 reactor is a high-temperature, gas-cooled design built for both electricity and industrial-scale heat. The company also produces TRISO-X, a fuel the U.S. Department of Energy has called the most robust nuclear fuel available. X-energy is working with Dow on a nuclear project in Texas and has submitted its reactor design for review in the UK.
